Project Assistant
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position in the manufacturing industry, located in Waterbury, Connecticut, for the role of Project Assistant. The Project Assistant will be the linchpin coordinating between various teams such as product development, sales, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance. This role involves managing timelines, ensuring product quality, maintaining accurate records, and handling customer service and data entry tasks.Responsibilities: Spearhead the introduction of new products into manufacturing in collaboration with product development, sales, and engineering teams. Ensure the accuracy and up-to-date status of data in the company database. Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain product quality and address any arising issues. Handle troubleshooting of production issues and collaborate with the team to devise effective solutions. Maintain comprehensive records of product developments. Act as the primary liaison between production, sales, procurement, and quality teams to meet product objectives and deadlines. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in all tasks. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, primarily through email. Show a willingness to learn technical details about internal plumbing products. Maintain an excellent record of low error rates and demonstrate collaborative abilities while working with diverse teams. Requirements Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role Exceptional customer service skills required Proficiency in data entry is necessary Must be adept in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred Familiarity with database management is essential Commitment to delivering quality service is crucial.
