Shift hours/schedules:

Mondays-Thursdays: start time 6:00am, end time 2:30pm, 3:30pm, or 4:30pm. End of day depends on if there is overtime that day

Fridays: 6:00am-2:30pm

Saturdays: Some Saturdays are mandatory, either 6:00am-10:45am or 6:00am-2:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

To prepare, assemble and install vehicle and/or chipper components to required specifications for Welding, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Unit and Finish departments.

Use and conduct proper care of PPE

Read and interpret schematics (blueprints)

Read and interpret work orders

Use basic hand tools such as tape measure and specialty equipment

Learn and operator all equipment within the work area (cell)

Perform rework as required

Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives. May participate in RCI events

Willing to move to other work areas to support production needs. (Cross-train)

Install unit vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories

Testing of installed components

Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures, and practices

Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment

Maintain daily time records

Minimum Requirements:

Experience in automotive which can include in an auto shop or around personal vehicle

High School Diploma/GED required.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend required.

Basic computer usage knowledge desired.

Vocational Training in lieu of experience will be considered.

Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics desired.

Knowledge in at least one of the following – Hydraulics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing / Production processes
