Electrician Marine
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Marine Electricians for an ASAP start in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
PAY: $29-$31/hr (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8 hours starting at 7am
SCHEDULE: Work will be Mon-Fri (Weekends as needed) approximately 40-60 hrs/week
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: This is a potential temp-to-hire position
Marine Electrician Job Description:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on yachts, including lighting, power distribution, navigation, communication, and entertainment systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for the yacht.
Inspect electrical systems for compliance with safety standards and regulations, making recommendations for upgrades and repairs as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to ensure correct installations and repairs.
Test and maintain batteries, generators, shore power systems, and other marine electrical equipment.
Ensure all installations and repairs meet high-quality standards and comply with marine industry regulations.
Collaborate with yacht owners, contractors, and other service professionals to meet project timelines and specifications.
Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication with clients regarding service updates and recommendations.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new electrical technologies for yachts.
Qualifications for Marine Electrician:
Proven experience as a Marine Electrician or in a similar role, preferably in the yacht industry.
In-depth knowledge of yacht electrical systems, including AC/DC systems, generators, and shore power connections.
Familiarity with marine safety standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Ability to work in confined spaces and aboard yachts in various marine environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and team members.
Additional Requirements for Marine Electrician:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
