Now Hiring Machine Maintenance Mechanic1st Shift $35-$40 DOE - Eden PrairieJob DescriptionAs a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining motor and control circuitry for both equipment and the facility. You will ensure compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC), perform preventive maintenance, and work with engineering to develop process improvements. Additionally, you will interpret technical documents, collaborate with teams, keep detailed records, and may travel globally to assist with project installations. These duties are crucial for maintaining efficient and safe operations.Responsibilities

Maintain and repair all assigned equipment in a professional and timely manner.

Possess functional and operational knowledge of hydraulic power units and distribution lines.

Adjust various machines to ensure efficient operation.

Troubleshoot, disassemble, diagnose production machine mechanical and electrical problems.

Determine defective parts, locate and replace them.

Operate equipment in a safe manner.

Keep detailed records of time and materials spent on specific machines.

Perform general repair of tools, equipment, and devices.

Accept responsibility and take initiative for completing required operations efficiently.

Demonstrate an understanding of customers' expectations and take initiative to meet them.

Develop solutions and resolve performance issues.

Estimate repair time and materials.

Provide feedback to area supervisor on machine problems, trends, and workloads.

Maintain the Preventative Maintenance database.

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

Keep accurate inventory control of parts and supplies needed for maintenance.

Stay informed on new products, equipment, and improved maintenance procedures and methods.

Maintain knowledge and training in industry, technology, and company products.

Participate in required training and provide training as appropriate.

Exhibit professionalism on the job and behave respectfully toward coworkers, engineers, supervisors, and customers.

Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with all company personnel to solve problems.

Essential Skills

Two-year trade school training in machine maintenance and operation with 8+ years of experience, or high school/GED with 10+ years of applicable experience.

Advanced knowledge of electrical wiring and mechanical machine functions.

Advanced knowledge of hydraulics.

Capability to become qualified to operate overhead hoists.

Certification to operate a fork truck (or willingness to be certified with company-paid training).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $82000.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
