Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Repair and Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and around production plants and/or other production related environments. This includes, but is not limited to, working with electrical, boilers, and various types of production machinery. Shifts vary in hours from plant to plant but may include long days, overtime, and weekends.Responsibilities

Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.

Complete inspections of production plants and offices.

Respond quickly in the event of an emergency and follow safety protocol.

Perform HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs as necessary.

Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

5 - 10 years' previous experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Ability to multiply, divide, add, and subtract.

Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.

Ability to work in an environment where exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations, and loud noises.

Ability to adhere to all safety protocols including OSHA guidelines.

Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally and/or frequently lift and/or move stock, materials, and unfinished and finished production oriented materials that weigh between 10 and 75 pounds.

You must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and wear eye and ear protection along with steel-toed shoes in some plants.
