Scale Model Maker

Are you tired of your boring job?

KiwiMill creates museum quality scale models for our customers in numerous industries including aerospace, defense and manufacturing. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the skills of model making and has a keen interest in the new technology used in this field.

In our shop, you will work with numerous hand tools, stationary shop tools, 3D printers, computers, paint spray guns, and various other equipment.

We are a small shop in Marion, NY and work in a built-out barn on a beautiful 5 acre property. Currently, we have 4 employees and are looking to add one more.

This is a full-time job and the hours are 7AM-5PM Monday through Thursday.

Requirements:

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to work with your hands.

- Ability to use computers.

- Self-directed individual who is excited about model making and can learn quickly.

- Knowledge of hand-tools (drills, saws, sanders, screwdrivers, files, etc.)

- Reliable transportation to work.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

- Shop tools (table saw, band saw, sanders, lathe, etc.)

- 3D printer knowledge/experience.

- Model making experience (for example: 3D printed, plastic kits, wood kits)

- Painting knowledge (rattle can, airbrush, etc.)
