Job Description:Responsible for the specification, design, implementation and support of the software systems used by Energy Management including the 24/7 Resource Dispatch and Trading group. Design, develop and maintain interfaces between various systems. Ensure that projects are managed, overseen, and maintained daily.Note:There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Energy Applications Services Engineer I, job grade 7; Energy Applications Services Engineer II, job grade 8, Energy Applications Services Engineer III, job grade 9; or Senior Energy Applications Services Engineer, job grade 10. Responsible for defining, developing, and deploying of applications for Energy Management and 24/7 Resource Dispatch and Trading operations including integration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), trading and tagging systems, reporting systems, and load forecast and position evaluation systems.
Implement, analyze, and deploy software systems.
Create reporting tools for daily, monthly and annual system operational and financial summaries.
Responsible for the development of methods and applications for improving operational load forecasting, including enhanced modeling of weather and precipitation effects.
Responsible for the design and maintenance of analytic computing environments that utilize deterministic and stochastic modeling.
Responsible for managing multiple projects with varying size and difficulty.
Support the Energy Management staff in using the various systems used and supported by Energy Applications including providing training as necessary.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area.
Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.
Maintain clear and open communication with Energy Management staff, Tri-State telemetry and metering functional areas and third-party Transmission Providers and Balancing Authorities.

Qualifications:Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering, related engineering discipline, or equivalent
