Physician General Medical Officer (Iraq)
The Physician will provide a comprehensive range of medical care to US government employees and contractors in Iraq. The physician is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare to patients, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses and injuries. They collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and maintain accurate medical records. Care will primarily be provided in clinics. Clinics are responsible for a variety of on-site primary, urgent, and initial emergency care services.  Key Responsibilities:Provides primary care but not limited to GYN, dermatology, ENT, pulmonary, neurological, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, orthopedics, psychology, and gastroenterology. Collaborate with on-site physicians, APPs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in the assessment and stabilization of patients requiring urgent or emergent care. Lead and oversee medical staff at a DOS/DOS clinic: Clinic services include, but are not limited to: health promotion and disease prevention, health maintenance counselling and patient education, diagnosis and directed physical exams, emergent and annual vaccinations, comprehensive STD testing Manage simple chronic conditions through intermittent monitoring. Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Maintain compliance with all project site procedures, standards, and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements. Limited chronic care which shall be limited to preexisting, diagnosed, and treated chronic conditions. Coordinate with medical evacuation teams for patients requiring care beyond the capabilities of the clinic. Participate in MASCAL exercises. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
