Director, Technical Accounting
ServiceNow is looking for a Technical Accounting Director who has a positive attitude, highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization with proven ability to thrive successfully in a fast-paced multi-task-oriented environment. In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the Company ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives within the Finance organization. This is a high-profile position that will play a critical role in technical accounting and other reporting related matters. This role will report to the Sr. Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.What you get to do in this role: Research and document the Company’s technical accounting issues; present and resolve the Company’s positions for critical accounting issues with external auditorsMonitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and partner with stakeholders to analyze the impactLead purchase accounting, valuation and integration of mergers and acquisitionsSubject matter expert for certain technical accounting areas, such as investment accounting, goodwill and intangible asset impairment testing, accounting for share-based compensation programs, revenue accounting matters (payments to a customer, gross versus net) amongst other complex accounting areasManage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activitiesLead the development and provide growth opportunities to the existing technical accounting teamBe a trusted business partner and advisor to various stakeholders within Accounting, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development and other cross-functional teamsTake initiative for process improvements to scale and optimize the technical accounting processDesign, implement, and maintain effective global accounting policies, processes, procedures, and internal controlsCoordinate audit support with external auditorsTake a leadership role in special projects and workflow process improvementsInvolvement in the SEC reporting process and help ensure the financial statements are in compliance with US GAAPInvolvement in ESG-readiness procedures as it relates to CSRD and other regulatory requirements
