Climate Geospatial Analyst
AECOM has a position available for a Climate Geospatial Analyst to work in Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach or Miami, Florida. This role will lead GIS-based climate vulnerability and risk assessments and support adaptation planning projects for local, state, and federal clients in Florida. This an excellent opportunity for those with a passion and a career path for promoting climate change preparedness across disciplines (flood protection, stormwater, wastewater, transportation, environment, and urban planning). This is a hybrid-work model that may require 2-3 days per week in the office.The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:Works under general directionPrograms and applies a broad range of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database, and spreadsheet software for GIS design, mapping and analysisIndependently contributes to the design of databases or development of geodatabases and systems, as well as compiles and analyzes GIS dataMay evaluate commercial GIS applications, as well as design and develop GIS applications for internal use and for client deliverablesIndependently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expectedReceives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects
