HVAC Installer/Service Technician TOP PAY

We are hiring an extremely qualified HVAC installer/service technician in one to install new units with gas heat, maintain existing systems, complete service calls (On call), repair duct work, run duct for new systems and install mini-split systems. The EXTREMELY QUALIFIED Technician must have a minimum of 10 years of installation & service call experience and be able to repair systems in a timely fashion with verifiable experience with major employers. Must have a reliable truck and all tools for the position.

The Service Technician is responsible for keeping the rental properties in excellent HVAC condition, both inside and out. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, highly customer focused, technically skilled, fast moving, and technologically proficient. This position services multiple properties.

Service Technician Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartments and single family homes, including units, common areas and amenities

Ensures heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are functioning as intended

Perform test for proper functionality and have general knowledge of HVAC components including mostly gas heating

Complete internally managed HVAC service requests

Prepare vacant units for new move-ins

Perform quality assurance inspections of work completed by outside vendors

Ensure proper removal and disposal of trash, if needed

Respond to on-call and potentially after hours emergencies in a timely manner

Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations. Take appropriate action to ensure safety of yourself and others in building

HVAC Installer Job Description

Position Summary: The extremely qualified HVAC Installer is responsible for executing the installation of HVAC equipment and systems according to specifications and industry standards. This role involves coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of foreman/code.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives.

Plan and coordinate installation activities, including scheduling manpower, equipment, and materials.

Be sure all needed equipment and parts are available on job site or on your truck before beginning installation.

HVAC Installation Execution:

Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and identify any potential challenges.

Perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mini splits.

Ensure that installations comply with building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct quality checks to ensure that installations meet quality standards and client expectations and is 100% complete.

Address any deficiencies or discrepancies promptly, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment specifications, work completed, and any deviations from the original plan.

Provide regular progress reports to project managers, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.

Text your start time (upon work commencement) and finish times daily (at completion of work day and before leaving job) to your project manager.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and all team members.

Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HVAC installations.

Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with clients to address any questions or concerns regarding the installation process.

Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that clients are satisfied with the quality of work and the overall experience.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in HVAC installation with verifiable references.

Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems including mini-splits.

Excellent communication abilities.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalency required. Associates degree from a technical college preferred.

Additional technical training or certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.

OSHA certification or other relevant safety training preferred.

Valid driver's license with clean driving record & reliable truck

Hand Tools Required (hammer, screwdrivers, channel locks, multimeter, allen wrenches, pliers, knife, flashlight, vacuum, & gauges)

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (written follow-up, ability to explain solutions to resident issues, etc.)

Ability to prioritize, multitask and efficiently manage one's schedule. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Tech savvy with ability to learn and use systems for tracking, scheduling and communications

Ability to use mobile applications and other tools for a variety of tasks

Positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to excellence and achieving goals

Can work independently

Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends, if needed

General Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
