We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsJOB SUMMARY:Under direct management of the Division Medical Staff Coordinator Team Lead,the incumbent provides services for the credentialing and privileging and database management functions of the Division Medical Staff Services Department (MSSD) including, but not limited to, Credentialing system file review for new applicants and re-applicants for membership and/or clinical privileges completed by the Credentialing Processing Center (CPC), updating the Credentialing system practitioner records in the Credentialing database as appropriate, and utilizing HCA Healthcare tools for provisioning practitioners with appropriate access to HCA clinical systems and role based applications.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.1.
Demonstrate accurate knowledge of relevant laws, policies, regulations, and standards affecting credentialing decisions and interpretations,including confidentiality of privileged information gained as a result of job functions.
Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
Proficient in Cactus Credentialing Software, Microsoft Office applications, Internet searches, and relevant data bases.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to follow through on issues.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
Ability to work effectively with other employees and external parties.
Computer Skills – Ability to retrieve requested information through knowledge of queries and reports from the various software and network databases.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Reasoning skills –Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree or higher preferred
EXPERIENCE
At least one (1) year previous credentialing experience preferred
HCA Healthcare credentialing and Cactus experience preferred
