Commercial Door and Hardware Installer

Looking to hire an installer with extensive commercial/industrial metal door, frame and architectural hardware experience. Work sites are not local.

Metal building experience ( installing wall and roof panels) and/or shop experience a plus.

Must be familiar with working from commercial/industrial door schedules, reading project plans/drawings and be able to layout, prep and install using hardware templates.

Should be extremely proficient handling all portable power tools - drills, jig saws, band saws, reciprocating and circular saw, grinders, etc. as well as all related hand tools.

Welding experience is a plus.

Typical work - Setting frames in metal building walls - hanging metal, wood or fiberglass doors in metal, aluminum or fiberglass door frames- installing commercial hardware such as lock sets, door closers, exit devices, flush bolts, etc, - installing thresholds, sweeps, drip caps and weatherstrip.

Familiarization with access control and electric door hardware is a plus.

Work is full time - normal 40 hours a week minimum Monday to Friday. Time and a half paid for all hours over 40.

Out of area travel and/or weekend work is required - project sites thru out Texas.

Most out of area work sites require overnight or longer stays - For any events of that type, the company supplies motel, a small per diem food allowance and reimbursement for gas used in travel if not riding with others or in company truck.

Probationary status for 90 days. After 90 days, you move to permanent status and gain paid Holidays.

Paid vacation after 1 year.

Company supplies power tools and any specialty tools, carts, ladders, etc. You are responsibly for your own basic hand tools.

Pay based on experience. Starting wage reviewed after 2 weeks for increase based on performance and display of abilities.

Must be able to pass random drug screen.

Background check will be done.

Clean driver's license preferred - Commercial driving license not required.

Direct employment - not a temp or employment service.

Work is for immediate start.
