KENNEL ASSISTANT -SANTA PAUL ANIMAL RESCUE CENTER

Seeking a dedicated kennel staff person to join our team- must love DOGS and CATS. Work includes providing daily care, feeding, and grooming for shelter residents; cleaning and maintaining kennels and living areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment; socializing with animals through playtime, walks, and enrichment activities to promote their mental and physical health.

Must have the physical stamina to be on their feet for long hours at a time. There is a lot of bending and lifting, you will be cleaning up after the animals and scrubbing the kennels, carrying 50-pound bags of food, crawl, play and work with the animals. Previous experience working with animals in a shelter is a plus but not required. Ability to interact with potential adopters to provide information about our animals and facilitate successful adoptions. Must be able to follow directions, cooperate with other staff members, and be a compassionate advocate for the welfare of all animals in our care. Please submit resume for consideration.
