DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the efficient, safe, and environmentally sound operation of Howmet Logistic Services, including domestic and international warehouse operations, recycling efforts, equipment used in warehouse operation, personnel directly connected to domestic and international distribution supply and facility maintenance. This position is also connected with casting plants, ancillary support plants, suppliers, and corporate supply chain to enhance and improve overall supply of goods and services to Howmet facilities. This position contributes to the overall performance of the HLS Facility with strategic plans for controlling costs, customer satisfaction and on-time deliveries of various products / raw materials to Howmet facilities domestic and international.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work with Manager of Logistics and Transportation to build a robust supply chain and supporting operation in the HLS distribution warehouse and associated operations.

Provide leadership, strategic guidance, training and build warehouse and distribution networks for HLS to provide continuous improvement and exacting quality standards for the internal supply chain.

Oversee development of standard policies, procedures, and practices to ensure customer requirements are always met or exceeded.

Oversee and manage development of ASAT reporting protocol.

Drive a culture of safety to meet or exceed all EHandS goals and objectives, working with the Safety team at La Porte Casting.

Manage inventory of critical supply chain inventories of raw materials utilized by Howmet facilities worldwide.

Manage working relationships with suppliers that feed these critical supply chain inventories.

Maintain and understand financial metrics that are critical drivers to the success of the distribution warehouse in meeting organizational goals, initiatives, and requirements.

Drive critical metrics and systems to provide for continuous improvement across all processes and flow down industry, corporate and customer standards.Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Developing a cohesive and robust team through supporting an active training environment and constant communication with floor personnel.

Drives continuous improvement through promoting best practice methodologies as well as being an agent for change and developing new and cutting-edge technologies.

Manages all supply chain and distribution departments, including the supplier base, inventory, personnel, and equipment.

Works with the Quality department to set yearly goals and objectives, track these goals and objectives and conducts periodic management reviews to monitor effectiveness of systems and objectives.

Participates in internal and external audits. Assists in developing effective resolution to perceived gaps and issues and assists with implementing solutions and gathering information to prove effectiveness of solutions.

Leads HLS improvement initiatives to improve production processes, meet financial expectations, and reduce costs.

Maintains corporate stores of raw materials. Reviews plant forecast of planned material usage. Orders materials based on plant forecasts, recent usage data and overall long-term historical forecasts. Prepares analysis of buy vs forecast to highlight deficiencies in the process.

Works closely with Quality and Corporate Procurement to ensure that inventory, supply levels and quality of materials meets the required specification of Howmet Aerospace.

Must be able to function as a member of a team, assist team members when needed and be able to work under general supervision specifications of Howmet Aerospace.

Interface with and coordinate with all HTS (Howmet Tran port Personnel). This will be to schedule incoming or outgoing materials, schedule dock sequences, work on issues, and other relational topics that are important to efficient operation of both entities.

Back up approver for time and attendance for warehouse personnel.EHS Requirements

Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.

Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).

Report and investigate all safety, health, and environmental concerns in a timely manner.

Attend all EHS training.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or reasonable equivalency with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain management or Distribution Center Ops.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated efficiency with Microsoft Office programs, with an emphasis on Excel and pivot tables.

Working knowledge of transportation, logistics, warehouse management, and inventory control.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to assist in effectively interacting with customers, suppliers, and employees within the company.

Team oriented attitude with strong coaching, counseling, and training skills.

Strong organizational skills and abilities to multi-task.

Possess complex problem solving, organizational skills and proficient at root cause analysis.

Performs routine special projects, as directed.

Participates in Continuous Improvement programs.

Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items.

Lifting intermittently of various items. Typically, material-handling devices would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds.

Orally communicating over telephone equipment when interacting with customers, suppliers, Howmet, and contract employees.

Position is an exempt salaried position and therefore could work more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments.

Sitting in chairs (swivel, padded, and adjustable) for long periods while performing his/ her duties.

Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment adjustments, performing quality inspections, etc.

Standing intermittently while performing his/her duties to include talking on the telephone, giving instructions to warehouse personnel and inspecting materials. Standing will vary from periodically to extensively depending on the daily sequence of events.

Driving of a motor vehicle for travel purposes.

Traveling by air transportation.
