Part-time physician assistant
Looking for a part-time physician assistant (PA) to join our early stage team on our new medical practice focused on ear health.

Ear Bar is a new medical venture that focuses on ears. With on-site audiology services, we will be offering services exclusive to ear health. We are the one-stop shop for ears.
Who you are
We are seeking a PA that is an independent, highly motivated, self-starter excited to be part of an early stage team providing excellent care for patients. This position is 100% outpatient. The PA will be primarily treating common ear diseases (otitis media/ externa, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, etc.) as well as minor procedures of ear cleaning, removal of ear foreign bodies, etc. .
Qualifications
Required:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physician Assistant Programs.
Physician Assistant in Medicine, Licensed (IL).
Physician Assistant certification by a national certifying body as approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Controlled substance license and DEA registration required as specified by the department. Minimum of two (2) years of PA experience.
Preferred:
Otolaryngology experience
Responsibilities:
Provides direct care to patients which demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced knowledge.
Conducts comprehensive appraisals of patients health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations in the head and neck region with a focus on ears.
Provides primary prevention strategies and management of stable ear health problems.
Establishes diagnoses for common short-term or chronic ENT health conditions.
Prescribes medications, diet, supplies, hearing devices according to clinical privileges.
Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory tests, x-rays, audiograms and diagnostic procedures specified in clinical privileges.
Evaluates patients to determine their need for further health care.
Teaches and counsels patients and families in preventive care, medical conditions, plan of care, anticipated outcomes, and the use of prescribed treatments and drugs.
Documents in the medical record all care provided and/or procedures performed.
Consults with management in assessment, problem solving, decision making, and evaluating clinical/system issues.

Pay: Based on experience, starting at: $50.50+ per hour
