Dangerous Good Compliance Specialist

The Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with the USA Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods (IATA), companies involved in the loading, unloading, or transport of dangerous goods by road, rail, or inland waterways may be required to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA). YOUR TASKS

Ensure legal compliance with regulations related to dangerous goods.

Provide expert advice to the employer on all matters concerning the handling and transport of dangerous goods.

Prepare annual reports detailing the company’s activities involving dangerous goods.

Oversee procedures and safety measures related to the handling of dangerous goods.

Investigate incidents and compile reports on accidents or emergencies.

Advise on the security risks associated with the transport of dangerous goods.

Any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment

Deliver training to staff on IATA DOT and IMDG Code regulations.

Conduct internal dangerous goods audits.

Lead the development of dangerous goods projects with new and existing clients.

YOUR PROFILE

·Relevant industry experience (e.g., DGSA or Delegated Person).

Valid DOT, IMDG Code, and IATA certifications.

Associate’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Proven background in the shipping or logistics industry.

Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.

Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Good at prioritizing multiple task to meet deadlines

Proactive and collaborative team player.

Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
