Permit Technician

Come join our team at Generator Supercenter. We install, service, monitor, service and maintenance all Generac standby generators. We are looking for an experienced, quick-learning, team player for our Permit Technician position. This position is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The primary responsibilities for this position include creating and submitting permit packages to local cities. Will need to be able to do site plans, city applications, single line diagrams, corrections, and schedule all inspections till job is approved and completed by city.

The permit technician is responsible for obtaining permits for the installation of standby generators. There will be rules/setbacks the permit technician will be expected to learn, quickly. The technician will occasionally need to travel to the City Hall of the city in which a permit is needed. Therefore, the technician must have reliable transportation. Must be able to speak well to inspectors, building and planning departments. Must be ready to answer questions and be able to quickly provide what is necessary to receive the permit as quickly as possible. This position requires a lot of detail, organization, and be able to have strong communication skills. Main goal is getting a permit approved as quickly as possible.

Requirements for this position include:

1+ year(s) working directly with city permits.
