Wing Over Farm Field Hand and Harvest Crew

Full and Part Time available. This is a seasonal position.

FT: 32-40 hrs per week

PT: 16-24 hrs per week

Mid April- mid October

This job is focused on field work on an organic veggie/flower/egg farm, as well as being part of the harvest and post harvest processing crew.

This team member position requires the ability to work in a fast paced and physically demanding environment. It is 100% outdoors, all day, rain or shine. This is a small but mighty crew who loves being in nature. It is a very physical job that also requires efficiency, problem solving, and a positive attitude. If you love athletic work that allows you to be in the sunshine and have access to beautiful and healthy produce, you will likely appreciate this work.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

What you will do in this role:

-Hand Weeding

- prepping field space for planting

- transplanting

- collecting and washing eggs and moving mobile coops and livestock fencing

- pruning tomatoes and strawberries

- starting seeds in the greenhouse

-Harvest

- Process and pack vegetables and flowers for market, CSA and wholesale accounts

- planting and harvesting flowers

- making bouquets

-assisting with irrigation set up

Compensation commensurate with experience; in addition to hourly rate is unlimited access to free produce (within reason).

Overtime (over 40 hours per week) although rare is compensated at time and a half.
