Fosters in Need for Loving Dogs

As we step into the new year, why not make one of your resolutions to make a real difference? Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is seeking dedicated fosters to help save dogs from high-kill shelters. By fostering, you’ll not only give a dog a second chance at life but also experience the joy of being part of their journey to finding a forever family.

Fostering is an incredibly rewarding experience! We provide all the supplies, food, and medical care your foster dog needs. Plus, we offer a stipend to cover gas for medical appointments and adoption events. Whether you’re ready to commit long-term or can only spare a few weeks, fostering is an opportunity to change a dog’s life—and your own.

What You Need to Know Before Signing Up:

- Must be 21 years or older.

- No children under the age of 8 in the home.

- No small dogs or cats in the home (larger dogs are okay).

- Comfortable with larger dogs (50-90 lbs on average).

- Must be okay fostering shelter dogs with unknown backgrounds.

- Adoption events are mandatory: Attend every other Saturday at the Petco in West Hollywood (this is also when supplies and stipends are provided).

- Approval from all roommates, family members, landlords, etc., is required before fostering.

Why Fostering Matters:

Thousands of dogs face euthanasia every day because shelters are overcrowded. By fostering, you’re giving them a safe, loving environment to decompress and heal. While some may need patience, like potty training or extra care, the transformation you’ll witness is worth every moment.

We’re especially seeking long-term fosters who can commit to at least four weeks (ideally until the dog is adopted). This stability is critical for the dog’s well-being. However, if you can only foster short-term (one to two weeks), we still welcome your help—every bit counts!
