Software development project

Ocala or Gainesville area or north central Florida. I own a computer software development company, and I need someone who is wants to participate in a project. We design software for race cars and have a fully developed PC based program that needs to be ported to a newer language. I would like it to work on Windows PCs, Mac, and phones of all kinds. It CANNOT be internet based, simply because race cars operate in areas where internet access can be limited due to noise constraints, so it must be an installed software program.

It will be a project that may turn into full time employment but first I need to see ideas of what development languages you would use, ideas, and recommendations. I will show you what we currently design and see how you could improve our current product. I have owned this company for 35 years and we are looking for fresh ideas. Candidate may be required to attend a few races in order to understand the requirements we are looking for. My software is used by race car teams, so if you are easily triggered by loud noises, then do not contact us. Gainesville Florida has a world class racetrack near the airport, and it is a great place to go in order to understand what we need. Orlando and Tampa Bay areas are also acceptable.

Could be a great project for high school or college students interested in real world applications. Serious mathematical equations are used, and our software integrates with advanced weather equipment.

LOCAL candidates, we have to see each other in order for you to understand what the program does. Remote does not work for this, I've tried and am NOT interested in remote programmers at this time.
