Personal Care Assistant Wanted

Looking for a home health worker to provide assistance in LaFayette for a 90 year old man with dementia, incontinence and limited mobility. Prior experience with similar clients is desired. Duties include but are not limited to:

-showering, shaving, grooming and other hygiene care

-help with toileting and cleaning bathroom

-meal preparation as directed

-prescribed PT exercises and short walks

-laundry and help with dressing

-light cleaning/tidying up

Shifts are four hours each on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and two hours each on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Weekday morning shifts may require driving the client to an adult day program in Manlius (using the client's car if more convenient).

Compensation is $22 an hour, some is paid by an agency (and requires some paid training with that agency) and the rest is supplemented by private pay. Family would consider hiring more than one assistant in order to cover all shifts.
