Log Scaler Trainee

Log Scaler Trainee wanted, pay is $20.00 an hour for training. 8am-4:30pm M-F. We offer full benefits, including matching 401k, medical/dental/vision insurance. Pay increase when certified.

Essential Duties:

Weighs incoming and outgoing shipments for the sawmill

Enters data into the computer system

Scan and review logs for measurements

Responsible for placing identifying information on the material upon arrival at the plant site

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to

verify information against Scaler Information Sheets and/or S29(US Forest Service)

Communicate with supervisor or customers and foresters on log quality and scaling issues

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies

Work location:

Will start in Medford, with travel required in Southern Oregon and Northern California

Outside in all weather including extreme hot/cold conditions
