Line Cook Start @ $25/hr
Pelican & Pig is expanding its team and hiring an experienced line/grill cook Wednesday-Sunday, Off Monday's, Tuesdays & major holidays. Closed holidays are paid.
Must be able to work in fast paced environment, multitasking tickets while managing live fire.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
prep work
maintaining sanitary station
ensuring all food items are labeled, dated, rotated
cooking steaks, pork, fish to temp, to order, maintaining efficient ticket times
Must know proper cook temps for all beef, pork and sea dishes
interacting with guests during service, providing a memorable experience, we are an open kitchen and guests love to talk about food with the kitchen.
kitchen clean up and organizing
must be able to handle volume nights as much as slower nights with a positive attitude and guest-focused work ethic
Candidates must be punctual, driven, reliable and easy to get along with.
We are a small, tight-knit crew with working owners. We have no egos in our kitchen. We are closed all major holidays and most holiday eves.
