Dispatch Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with transportation management systems to optimize fleet operations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage daily transportation schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

Utilize GPS and transportation management systems to track shipments and provide updates.

Analyze data related to shipping and receiving to improve operational efficiency.

Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to resolve any issues that may arise.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation for fleet management.

Assist in the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Employ phone etiquette to handle inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Proficiency in using transportation management systems.

Experience in fleet management or logistics operations is highly desirable.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as 3PL operations.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the transportation sector.
