Urgent need for DIRECT CARE WORKERS!

We are looking for passionate Direct Care Workers!

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Each Direct Care Worker is directly responsible for the safety and well-being, activities, and

program implementation of the program’s residents as well as:

Provide a safe, clean, and caring living environment for program residents.

Prepare meals according to individual meal / feeding plan.

Foster/Promote as much independent behavior as possible when supporting/teaching self-help skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.

The position requires successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training

(TCI), which includes a written test and demonstration of the competency to perform

physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body. Additionally, staff

must successfully complete all required TCI refreshers (6months) in order to maintain

continued employment.

Experience in child welfare or OMRDD is a plus.

Must have a valid driver’s license (NY/NJ/CT)

Must provide excellent references.

Must have patience and the ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and

to intervene appropriately and in accordance with Program and regulatory bodies

Pay rate is $19.00 per./hr
