Assembly Technician
Job Title: Assembly Technician ($17/hr)Job DescriptionUnder limited supervision, you will perform a variety of assembly operations in producing electronic parts, subassemblies, or finished products. You will use visual aids, wiring instructions, schematics, and receive general verbal or written work instructions. You may use various types of hand tools to accomplish tasks. Assemblers are versatile and knowledgeable in nearly all aspects of production.Responsibilities
Assemble parts, subassemblies, or finished products using minimal work instructions.
Inspect products for quality conformance using PWO, PSO, TSO, SWO, BOM, or Deviations.
Solder wiring and components on PCBs or product casings or housings.
Apply IPC inspection standards to work performed.
Use standard tools common to electronic assembly, such as soldering irons, measuring instruments, and microscopes.
Operate equipment and record data common to printed circuit assembly manufacturing, such as screwdrivers, impact testers, temperature test chambers, and test equipment.
Perform work tasks that are generally complex in nature and require significant attention to detail.
Conform to company policies and rules and follow ESD policy requirements.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four or more years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to understand work assignments through written and visual documentation and/or verbal instruction.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with production, hand assembly, and reading blueprints.
Soldering experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with hand tools and reading schematics.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as certain work stations require standing for the entire shift.
