Janitorial WorkerJob DescriptionAssist with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the building and campus. Repair, maintain, and assist in the installation of equipment, while providing quality customer service with attention to detail.Responsibilities
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture.
Record information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Regularly replace HVAC air filters.
Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure hazards are not created.
Notify managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
Perform ad-hoc cleaning of building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Essential Skills
Experience in industrial and janitorial duties.
Forklift operation experience.
Knowledge of production and assembly processes.
Previous experience with tugger or forklift operation.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based onsite at the Ford Assembly Plant in Claycomo, MO.
