Sr. Network Engineer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join the IT Department of an AM 100 law firm. This individual will be responsible for the implementation,operation documentation, and support of the Firms systems infrastructure. This role involvesoverseeing and participating in all phases of the infrastructure life cycle, including needsanalysis, planning, design, implementation, operation, and maintenance.The Senior Network Engineer will work as part of the Technical Operations team inimplementing, operating, and supporting the core infrastructure of the Firms IT Systems.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain in-depth, up-to-date technical knowledge of the applications andprotocols used in the firm's information systems.Participate in firm-wide IT projects, system designs, procurement, and outsourcingservices to implement and support core IT services.Deploy, configure, and administer core technologies such as LAN/WAN EnterpriseNetworks, Storage Resource Management, Enterprise Unified Communication Systems,Virtualization systems, Exchange Messaging Systems, Disaster Recovery Operations,and Backup Operations.Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure developmentefforts and recommend technologies that will increase performance, cost-effectiveness,and infrastructure flexibility.Develop and execute test plans to validate performance, security, scalability, andrecoverability. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.Provide technical leadership and 3rd level support to all members of the InformationServices department.Mentor, instruct, and develop technical staff in areas of new technology.Contribute to the operational aspects of the Technical Operations group as needed.Recommend, schedule, and assist in the execution of upgrades, migrations, and repairs.Provide after-hours and on-call support for all systems as needed.This role is hybrid, two days in the firm's Center City Philadelphia office.Compensation: $130K to $135K per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
