Position: Pest Technician
About Us:
At Smith's Pest Management, we have been eliminating landscape pests in the Bay Area for over 15 years. We pride ourselves on professionalism, respect, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
This position is to fill an opening in our East Bay region. Generally covering Contra Costa County and Alameda County. This position dispatches from home, and occasionally has to come into our San Jose headquarters. This may be once or twice a month on average.

Job Overview:
We are looking for individuals who:
Enjoy working independently.
Prefer working outdoors.
Have experience or interest in landscaping, gardening, or similar hands-on fields.
Take pride in eliminating problem rodents effectively.
Training: All necessary training will be provided.
Compensation:
Annual salary ranges from $65,000 to $85,000, depending on effort and performance.
Note that fully trained and skillful pest technicians often earn a commission on top of their base pay. This position is entry level and will be paying straight pay without commission. Once all the skills are mastered, it is highly possible to start earning commission.

A Day in the Role:
Travel to customers' homes.
Inspect yards for signs of gophers and moles.
Set traps and monitor progress.
Repeat the process as needed.
This job is well-suited for individuals with experience in gardening, landscaping, or construction. It's a peaceful and rewarding role with opportunities for growth.

Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Capable of working on uneven terrain.
Comfortable digging holes, working from hands and knees, and walking up and down steep hillsides.
Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
