Lead Montessori Teacher
Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in guiding the development of young children, implementing educational programs, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's growth.
Duties:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and respect among children.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized support as needed, particularly in areas such as math and early intervention.
Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development, behavior management strategies, and overall well-being.
Collaborate with other educators to create an integrated curriculum that promotes holistic childhood development.
Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Supervise assistant teachers and provide mentorship to enhance their professional growth.
Skills
Strong knowledge of Montessori principles and practices is preferred.
Experience in toddler care or working with young children in daycare settings is essential.
Proficiency in behavior management techniques to effectively address various classroom situations.
Familiarity with childhood development milestones and early intervention strategies.
Ability to tutor children in foundational subjects such as math while fostering a love for learning.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
A compassionate approach towards child welfare that prioritizes the emotional and physical safety of all students.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00/ per hour (Paid every Friday)
1099 Independent Contractor Position (You will be responsible for paying your own taxes. Taxes will not be withheld from Payment)
Flexible Hours: (7:30am-12pm or 12pm-4pm)
Expected hours: 20-25 per week
Monday-Friday
Benefits: Paid Holidays off, 7 PTO days
Must have a Montessori Teaching Certificate
Must be able to pass background check
