FT / PT Bilingual Immigration paralegal

Bilingual English/Spanish Immigration paralegal or legal assistant needed for a small (but very busy) Hudson County based law firm. Candidate must be able to answer phone in English and must be able to contact courts and other governmental agencies via phone or email. Knowledge of motions with Immigration Courts, Waivers 212, 601 and 601A desirable but not required. Candidate should have ability to prepare Asylum and SIJ packages. The person must also be able to translate documents from Spanish to English competently.

knowledge of basic immigration forms and procedures is desirable. The candidate will be responsible for consular processing. Salary will depend on experience. We may consider a candidate with no experience, but he/she must be willing to undergo training for few weeks at $17.00 per hour.
