DOT Safety Director for trucking Co

We are currently seeking an exprianed Safety Director to lead our safety initiative and enure adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, including logbook management and driver qualifications.

- Develop and conduct safety training programs and meetings for drivers and staff.

- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with management to create a comprehensive safety program and promote a safety-first culture.

- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of operations and equipment.

- Investigate accidents and incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.

- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to safety and compliance.

- Hire, train, and mentor safety personnel and assist in driver recruitment as needed.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation safety or a related role.

- In-depth knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.

- Strong understanding of logbook requirements and driver safety protocols.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to lead safety meetings and engage drivers effectively.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
