Network Cabling & Equipment Installer
About the Position: Join our team as a Part-Time Network Cabling & Equipment Installer! This role is ideal for experienced technicians seeking flexibility while making a significant impact in the telecommunications industry. You will be expected to work independently 80% of the time, traveling within 70 miles of your home base area to complete both small and large jobs.
In this position, you will play a crucial role in building high-speed connectivity infrastructure, ensuring outstanding service and quality installations that directly benefit our commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and upgrade various network infrastructures, including Cat5, Cat6 , and occasionally fiber cabling (while experience with fiber is a plus, it is not a necessity).
Set up and configure routers, switches, and servers according to client specifications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot both simple and complex issues to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.
Maintain thorough records of network layouts, installations, and configurations.
Provide exceptional client support and resolve technical inquiries as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience Required: Prior experience in network cabling installation and equipment configuration is mandatory.
Must provide your own vehicle for travel; company vehicles are not provided.
Must have your own tools, including but not limited to:
Punch down tools
Cable testers
Crimpers
Labeling equipment
A laptop is mandatory for job responsibilities.
Strong technical skills and the ability to think outside the box to solve problems independently.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to clients.
Adaptable to varied work environments and projects.

What We Offer:
Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.
Travel time is compensated hourly.
