Equipment Operator

Job Title: Equipment Operator (Excavation, Pipelining, Underground Utilities, Grading)

Location: Clarksville, VA

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, skid steers, and trenchers for excavation, grading, and pipelining tasks.

Perform tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.

Execute precise grading and leveling of sites to meet project specifications.

Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, including performing basic inspections and addressing any mechanical issues.

Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and project managers to ensure project timelines are met.

Assist with the layout and planning of excavations and utility installations, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

Proven experience 5 years as an Equipment Operator, with specific experience in excavation, pipelining, underground utilities, and grading.

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

OSHA 10 or 30-hour certifications is a plus.
