DAYS - ON SITE POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Maintains oversight of medical staff policies, procedures, medical staff orientation manual and bylaws to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as The Joint Commission, Department of Health, and the National Commission for Quality Assurance DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Office of the Chief Medical Officer - Harborview PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, coordinate and implement hospital-wide programs and processes facilitated by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer

Provide oversight of the credentialing process for over 1900 medical staff members at Harborview Medical Center

Establish credentialing schedules and adhering to rules and regulations to facilitate the credentialing of medical staff through required committee and board approvals

Maintains strict adherence to confidentiality and regulatory requirements with regards to sensitive credentialing matters

Review credentialing files with stringent attention to detail assuring that all files are complete prior to submission to the credentialing committee for review and approval

High visibility throughout UW Medicine, requiring a superior level of professionalism, and must communicate confidentially and diplomatically, clearly and effectively.

Provide a high level of attention to detail in addition to possessing strong project management and organizational skills REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field

5 years of progressively responsible administrative/customer support experience to include overseeing and executing office operations, and project management experience in a large, complex organization

Experience working effectively with senior administrators and professionals, including sensitivity in handling confidential information and urgent matters in a thoroughly professional and timely manner

Sophisticated project management experience

Independent decision making, sensitivity to the needs of the Chief Medical Officer’s constituents and organization

Proficient in the use of office technologies such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and provider credentialing software with a technological aptitude for learning additional software used in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer.

Proven customer service orientation, with demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication skills including diverse populations

Track record of efficient prioritization and organization of multiple requests

Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, handle multiple projects, problem solve and exercise judgment in a highly dynamic environment

Credentialing certification CPCS, CPMSM preferred
