Restoration Body and Paint Technician

High end automotive restoration shop is looking for an experienced body and paint technician. We specialize in Porsche's and have been in business since 1980. We restore cars for national concours events and also build custom one off touring and rally cars. Our cars consistently place first in class, or in the top 3 at these events.

We have over 3 years of work in house right now, and our back log is growing! We have a great team in place with front office support, and are looking to add another technician to help us get all of this work done.

The technician we are looking for should have at least 5 years experience as a full time painter and should also be proficient spraying single stage acrylic urethane. If you are currently working in a collision shop and are tired of that daily tread mill, this is the opportunity you have been dreaming about. We don't do insurance work and you won't ever have to work on another minivan!

We have two spray booths, including a state of the art Nova Verta Prestige full down draft booth and paint mixing room. We spray PPG and Glasurit paint.

Your duties will include:

1) Preparing bare metal for epoxy primer

2) Applying plastic filler and block sanding to prepare each car for acrylic urethane primer

3) Spraying epoxy and acrylic urethane primers

4) Block sanding to prepare for paint.

5) Masking and spraying complete paint jobs

6) Prepping and spraying parts and components

7) Color sanding and polishing
