PT to FT hours

Family hiring FT or PT help getting mother up at 10am in the morning. She has Alzheimer’s and requires physical assistance and verbal prompts getting out of bed. She is friendly and cooperative. Mornings she is only lightly incontinent as all fluids are given before 3pm the previous day. Usually just replace disposable chucks most mornings when making bed. She is cognizant when needing to use bathroom and her BM’s are typically mornings or before bed, always on the toilet. There’s an electric sit/stand used to assist you both safety in the mornings. She is mobile throughout day but mornings and bed time can be foggy for her and assist is compact, easy and safer for both of you. She is not a large woman but solid and petite. Your responsibilities, in addition to getting her up, will be range of motion exercises, conversation, short walks with gait belt, assistance brushing her teeth and hair. Breakfast is pre-set, so when she eats, you can as well. We respect the many hats caregivers wear and we expect you to be professional, dependable, work independently and be self directed. It’s a clean job in a nice home for a gentle kind woman who is happy, cheerful and easy to be with. More hours will be available if this works out for you and Mother.

Must have prior work experience with Alzheimer’s, personal care and elder care. Pay is above competitive rate and will be discussed at interview. Background checks will be done. Must have reliable transportation, drivers license, speak English and a current CNA license. Will consider non CNA if you have prior relevant work experience in this field.
