Job Description

The orthodontic assistant works closely with Dr. Alex to craft beautiful smiles while establishing a positive relationship with patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients and the work area for treatments and procedures

Scanning patient’s teeth for Invisalign and braces

Bonding braces and Invisalign attachments with the orthodontist

Orthodontic adjustments

Provide treatment and oral hygiene instructions to patients

Assisting the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures

Recording treatment notes

Educate patients on their treatment plans and maintaining their oral health

Take dental x-rays

Make patients feel comfortable by engaging patient and/or parent in conversation

Maintain a clean, neat work area

Restock supplies as needed

Follow OSHA guidelines

Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner

Maintain regular attendance and adhere to work schedules and office policies

Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by management

License/Certification:

Registered Dental Assistant with xray certification (Required)

CPR Certification (Required)

Salary:

Competitive. Varies based on experience and will increase as performance milestones are achieved.
