Designer Assistant Position
ASSISTANT POSITION
I am looking for an organized and motivated Personal Assistant to support my design company part time with a variety of administrative and creative tasks. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the visual design industry. You will play a critical role in managing the workflow, ensuring that all design requests are properly scheduled, organized, and set up for execution. Assistant will help with various tasks to keep the flow of business organized and on track. With a potential to grow and expand depending on experience and ability to learn. This position will be in person starting part time between 10-15 hours a week. Flexible schedule options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize incoming design requests by cataloging and prioritizing jobs in coordination with the designer.
- Schedule and manage timelines for design projects to ensure deadlines are met.
- Assist in setting up design files for the lead designer by gathering necessary assets, templates, and specifications.
- Maintain and organize the digital filing system for all design files, ensuring easy access for the team.
- Help review project briefs and ensure all required information and assets are provided before handing off to designer.
- Prepare initial design drafts or templates under the supervision of the lead designer.
- Communicate with team members to track the progress of ongoing projects and adjust schedules as needed.
- Assist with other tasks such as research, sourcing, and coordinating with suppliers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in project setup and organization.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the design team and other departments.
- Basic understanding of design principles such as layout, typography, and color theory and a good eye for visual design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or coursework in graphic design, interior design, project management, or a related field.
- Social media experience is a plus with a potential for higher compensation.
