Busy Asphalt Company Looking to add Salesperson / Estimator / Project Manager

Perfect Opportunity for someone who wants to learn about construction from the ground up.

We have an open position for a salaried position in our estimating / sales department. We are willing to train the right person 100 % to estimate and project manage asphalt paving projects.

What we do:

We are an Asphalt Paving Company. We build roads and parking lots. We work throughout the Chicagoland area. You would be responsible for visiting job sites, meeting with customers and surveying their needs and preparing a proposal for the work. You will serve as the conduit of the project requirements between the customer to your paving crews. You will often work outside.

What we will offer you:

1. We can introduce you to a career in the construction industry. We will teach all aspects of the job including teaching

you how to read blueprints, visit potential job sites, measure jobs in the field, understand performing quantity takeoffs and pricing jobs based upon labor, materials and equipment costs.

2. We will teach you how to meet with potential customers, how to review existing conditions and determine the customer's needs. We will teach you how to sell our services to to the customer and how to win contracts.

3. We will teach you how to oversee the all aspects of the project and how to order the material, schedule the crews, and manage the job until completion.

4. We will teach you how to follow up and close the project so the company can get paid in a timely manner.

5. We will give you a truck to drive during the day as you travel from job to job.

2. Be willing to learn and listen and take criticism and instruction. We are a team you need to be willing to become a team member.

3. Be energetic and presentable and approachable.

4. Be good at math, no way around it. The job is very Math intensive.

5. Know how to use a computer.

6. Have a personality.
