Low Voltage - Structured Cabling - Fiber Optic Technician (Colorado).
This role involves working with electrical systems that operate at a voltage level lower than 50 volts, typically used for data and communication systems.
DataLynx is hiring for a crucial role-a Low Voltage Cable Technician in Colorado. This is a part-time to full-time, permanent position with benefits.
Work hours will vary according to individual projects.
Technicians must demonstrate their adaptability by installing multiple types of devices.
Read prints and follow the directions and assignments given to them by the Site Superintendent/PM.

Typical duties include:
1. Installing Cameras, WAPs, Switches, Routers, Network Cabinets, Ladder Rack, and A/V equipment.
2. Installing, terminating, labeling, and testing category cable.
3. Installing, terminating, labeling, and testing fiber optic cable.
4. Terminating, testing, and labeling end-user devices. Comm room build-out.
5. Utilizing industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques.
6. Ensuring plans, specs, and wiring diagrams are adhered to.
7. Maintaining open communication with direct superiors, ensuring work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.

Required:
1. Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
2. Must have reliable transportation.
3. Must have own hand tools.
4. Must be willing to travel up to 50%
5. Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods.
6. Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
7. Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.
8. Must be able to work in high places and confined places.
9. Work sites vary from finished space interiors to new construction sites. Appropriate dress according to the work environment is required.
Experience:
1. 2+ years in a tech role, electrician, or structured cabling. (preferred)
2. 2+ years of experience in the commercial building construction industry related to Structured Cabling, Security, Access Control, CCTV, and A/V. (preferred)
3. The ability to operate scissor and boom lifts (preferred)
