Job Overview:
The Commercial Landscaping Construction Crew Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and construction of hardscapes and landscapes on commercial properties. This includes tasks such as site preparation, installing irrigation systems, planting, hardscape construction (patios, walkways, retaining walls), and other commercial landscaping features. The ideal candidate will possess experience in landscaping construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the construction and installation of landscape elements such as patios, retaining walls, walkways, outdoor lighting, irrigation systems, and water features on commercial properties.
Prepare job sites by clearing debris, leveling soil, and ensuring proper drainage.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems and related equipment.
Use power tools, hand tools, and machinery to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod, ensuring proper planting techniques and soil conditions.
Measure and cut landscape materials accurately to meet project specifications.
Work closely with supervisors and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to safety regulations and practices.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial landscaping construction or a similar field (minimum of 1-2 years preferred).
Familiarity with hardscaping techniques, landscape design principles, and commercial-grade landscaping equipment.
Ability to operate machinery and tools such as skid steers, mini excavators, power washers, and other heavy equipment.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor conditions, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.
A proactive, self-motivated attitude and a strong work ethic.
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, drainage systems, and landscape maintenance.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines.
