Location: Kailua-Kona, Big Island, Hawaii

Work Sites are high end custom homes primarily in Waiki'i Ranch, Waikoloa, Waimea and north Kona resort areas.

White Mountain Builders, a leading residential construction company based in Kamuela, Big Island, Hawaii, is currently seeking skilled general carpenters to join our team. We are highly interested in carpenters who have the ability to do custom home remodeling as well as those who have experience framing for new homes.

This is a full-time position with benefits. Pay scale will be determined based on skill set and prior experience. Positions range from $30 - $40 per hour. We offer a healthy work-life balance for all positions.

Responsibilities:

-Assist in various residential construction projects, including new builds and renovations.

-Carpentry tasks include;

-General carpentry to frame interior walls, windows and doors, installation of hardware and accessories, and other remodeling tasks.

-Framing carpentry such as installing foundations, floors, walls, ceilings and roofs, as well as decks, pergolas and other structures. This includes cutting and installing timbers, lumber and/or paneling to specified plans.

- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times to ensure a safe work environment.

-Perform as a positive member of our professional team.

Preference will be given to:

-Carpenters with new build framing experience.

-Candidates already living on the Big Island of Hawaii, and

-Persons who have the ability to read and understand architectural plans and construction drawings.

Requirements:

-Proven experience working in home remodeling or new builds (references will be required)

-Proficiency in basic carpentry skills.

-Possess your own carpentry tools and know how to use a wide variety of hand and power tools effectively.

-Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as well as work on roofs and scaffolding.

-Ability to assist the team with layout by holding plumb bobs, sighting rods or other equipment to aid in measuring and staking for projects.

-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance.

-Must have a vehicle to get tools to job sites and run errands, and a valid driver's license with current registration and proof of insurance.

-Strong work ethic and reliability.

-Ability to communicate effectively and perform as a member of a team.

-Maintain a clean work area, machines/equipment and a safe job site.

-Be a dependable worker.
