The Chief Sustainability Office is focused on a holistic environmental strategy, helping our customers and partners meet their sustainability goals, supporting a circular economy, driving key environmental sustainability initiatives, and measuring and reporting our progress towards our public goals and supporting innovative technologies and initiatives to help mitigate the impact of climate change for both people and the planet.Your ImpactAs a Senior Manager within Cisco’s Chief Sustainability Office, you will work cross-functionally with many teams across Cisco to help track and report on our public goals and support environmental sustainability governance, support voluntary and mandatory reporting, research key trends, understand best practices and create recommendations. In this role, you would support scenario modeling, creation of internal and external targets, reporting to key governing bodies, environmentally focused public disclosures, manage and track key decisions, quarterly progress plans and actions, research and share best practices and recommendations, conduct benchmarking, align to environmental standards and frameworks, support the CSO’s external communications process, data accuracy and claims, and prioritized ESG indices and indexes.Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years professional experience in environmental sustainability strategy, metrics, reporting, assurance, and disclosures
Proven knowledge of ESG and especially environmental sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and ESG indices (e.g., CDP, S&P Global), reporting requirements (e.g., CSRD, ISSB) and environmental data and methodology standards (e.g., GHG protocol).
Experience and knowledge of metrics creation, external assurance and data claims, and tracking and reporting on public goals.
Experience in metrics creation and KPI / success metrics and data targets
Business understanding- ability to translate data and insights into meaning and recommendations based on the context and strategy of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Experience working on complex initiatives with cross-functional teams and stewarding large group of diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of environmental sustainability regulations and requirements
Synthesis of information across multiple data sources and research
Experience with double materiality process, analysis, and scoring as it pertains to environmental sustainability prioritization and disclosures
Communicating complex analysis into actionable insights
Qualitative and quantitative data collection expertise and experience
