Join us as a Community Connector, where you will support a young adult with disability in achieving greater community engagement and personal growth.
Position Overview:
As a Community Connector, you will work one-on-one with a young adult to:
Foster authentic community connections;
Assist in exploring volunteer opportunities, and creating meaningful projects to seek authentic connections
Encourage a healthy lifestyle, and the use of public transportation, and community resources.
Engage in community activities
You will also handle service documentation and reporting responsibilities.
About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic young adult peer to partner with and support a young adult University graduate. Our ideal candidate would:
Serve as a mentor and build an authentic peer-to-peer relationship.
Help explore and pursue his creative and recreational outlets,
Collaborate closely with family to understand and meet his social/connection needs.
Be familiar with the West Chester and surrounding areas.
A brief informal training will be provided in the beginning.

An empathetic and assertive communicator.
An artistic background (a plus!)
Schedule: .
Approximately 15 to 20 per week.
Exact schedule to be decided based on participant’s need and your availability.
Flexible schedule ( week ends, week nights)
Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree
Transportation: Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation, meeting all state minimum safety, registration and insurance requirements. (Mileage reimbursed at .65/mile for participant related travel)
Compensation
Pay: $25 / hour
Hours: 15 – 20 per week
