We are a dynamic, diverse and fast-paced multi-specialty practice with superior clinical results. We are in need of a full-time Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)/Dental Assistant with an engaging, professional, and positive attitude to join our team. Dental knowledge is a must, and we are willing to further develop the right person with the right attitude.

We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday is 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Saturdays may be negotiable.

Requirements:

-High school diploma or GED

-Oral and written fluency in English, oral fluency in Spanish preferred

-Customer service

-Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

-Experience working in a dental office

-Attention to detail with follow-through

-Organizational skills & ability to multi-task

-X-ray certification and CPR certification

-Good communication and listening skills

-Experience with Dentrix and Dexis

-Strong work ethic

-Experience/knowledge of dental implants

-Appointment scheduling and coordination with other offices

-Multi doctor experience

Job Description:

Patient Management

-Greet patients when they sign in and monitor arrival time

-Set up treatment rooms for procedures

-Escort patients to treatment room

-Seat patients in treatment rooms

-Show care and concern, and help patients feel comfortable

-Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol

-Ensure patients are always attended

-Anticipate and assist dentist’s needs

-Perform expanded functions and other tasks as assigned by the dentist

-Mix dental materials, pour models, taking impressions, completing lab slips accurately

-Ensure patients’ questions are answered thoroughly before they leave

-Chart patients and record date, service rendered and any charges

-Escort patients from the treatment room

-Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient’s chart-

-Perform clinical procedures as practice act allows and as directed by dentist

-Post-operative instruction delivery/patient educaiton

-Monitor patient flow

-Other duties as assigned

-Answering phone calls

-Booking appointments/Next Visits

Treatment Room Management and Sterilization

-Keep dental units ready, stocked and clean

-Oversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilization procedures

-Disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations

-Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulations

-Keep trays, instruments and treatment room drawers organized

-Ensure that office sterilization procedures document is on display

-Promptly send out and monitor all dental laboratory cases

-Implement the preventative maintenance/cleaning schedule for dental equipment

-Maintain dental office emergency kits and nitrous and oxygen tanks

-Follow laboratory procedures according to office protocol
