For a Cashier:

4. Offer Assistance
If customers look confused, offer help, such as suggesting items or answering questions about pricing.
5. Thank Every Customer
A simple “Thank you for coming in!” makes a lasting impression.
For a Hostess:
1. Welcome Guests with Energy
Approach each guest like they’re a VIP. Smile and greet them as soon as they walk in.
2. Communicate Wait Times Honestly
If there’s a delay, explain the wait time clearly and offer seating options (bar, waiting area, etc.).
3. Maintain a Calm and Organized Approach
Keep track of reservations and seating plans to avoid confusion.
4. Check In
Once guests are seated, follow up to ensure their needs are being met (e.g., “Is everything to your liking so far?”).
5. Leave a Positive Last Impression
Thank them on their way out and invite them to return soon.
Both roles revolve around being attentive, personable, and making customers feel valued. Is there a specific situation you’re looking for advice on?
