Position Type: Seasonal (June 1 – Labor Day)

Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, Lunch and Dinner Service

Location: Bridgehampton, NY

Compensation: $700–$800 per day

Accommodations: Live-in provided

Overview:

A private family in Bridgehampton is seeking a talented and experienced Private Chef for the summer season. The chef will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner Thursday through Sunday, delivering exceptional meals that showcase seasonal, fresh, and locally sourced ingredients. This is a live-in position with accommodations provided for the summer.

Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and serve lunch and dinner, ensuring high-quality meals tailored to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.

Create weekly menus focused on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Shop for groceries and maintain an organized pantry and kitchen inventory.

Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation standards.

Cater to dietary restrictions, food allergies, and special requests.

Assist with occasional family gatherings or entertaining needs.

Ensure the kitchen and all tools are cleaned and maintained in excellent condition.

Requirements:

At least 3–5 years of experience as a Private Chef or in fine dining.

Expertise in seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine and ability to accommodate diverse preferences.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Professional, discreet, and adaptable to the family’s lifestyle.

Willingness to live on-site in the provided accommodations for the summer season.

Compensation:

$700–$800 per day, commensurate with experience.

Live-in accommodations provided.
