Free room & board for Live-In HHA aide

We are looking for a LIVE-IN caregiver for our mother in the Smithtown area of western Suffolk County. She is a sweet & amicable lady who is relatively easy to take care of.

Due to a stroke, she is non-ambulatory, but can communicate & sleeps through the night. She has some forgetfulness.

She needs daily help with:

Bathing

Toileting & hygiene

Bed-to-wheelchair transfer (via our Hoyer lift)

Food assembly

Taking medication

In addition, you'll need to assist her with:

Companionship. Be with her. Talk with her.

Food preparation (as time permits)

Light housekeeping (keeping kitchen clean, occasionally vacuuming her area)

Washing dishes

Laundry

Changing linens

Moving her within the home's first floor via wheelchair

Requirements:

The ability to communicate in English

Work authorization (current visa, green card, or USA citizenship)

Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate

Non-smoker, non-drug user

You will be paid by our agency

At least 6 months experience as a caregiver here in the USA

Terms:

LIVE-IN aide (live at her house in nice, quiet neighborhood 7 days a week)

Work 2-3 days per week, 12 hours per day

Paid by agency, at least $19 per hour
